When I was discharged from the hospital after being treated for colon cancer, I was in terrible shape. I was weak and unable to do anything on my own. I was in pain—and depressed. Coming to Boro Park Center was a godsend. The staff is so nice and kind. They made me feel better right away. They gave me hope and they gave me my life back. The therapists are very organized and helpful. They even called my family every week to let them know how I was doing. And I was doing much better. The Boro Park Center team made me stronger. It took three months, but it was worth every second. I’m back home now and I couldn’t be happier! I recommend Boro Park Center for the therapy, the accommodations, and the great food.

I have Multiple Sclerosis, and last year I experienced an attack—and my condition worsened. I lost my ability to walk and I was in a constant state of anxiety. I felt out of control. The staff at Boro Park Center immediately put me at ease. And it was definitely a team effort: the therapy, the activities, the accommodations and the food were all great—and all geared to improving my condition and making me stronger. I’m getting better by the day. Thanks to the Boro Park Center team, I have my balance back, I can walk again, and my anxiety is gone! I’d recommend them to anyone who needs rehab.

I have diabetes and I ultimately had to have my left leg amputated below the knee. When I came to Boro Park Center, I was afraid I was going to be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life. The staff there reassured me that I would be able to walk again. They were very good at communicating with me, always being very clear about what I could expect about me progress. The rehab team worked very hard and when I got my prothesis, my physical therapist guided me every step of the way—literally. In less than two months, I was walking again. I’m so happy to be independent and self-sufficient again. Thank you: Boro Park Center. It’s been an amazing experience!

Just two days after my hip replacement surgery I was discharged from the hospital. I was extremely weak and needed a great deal of help to perform the simplest activities. Fortunately, I came to Boro Park Center for my recovery and rehab. The team there gave me a lot of attention. Whenever I needed them, they answered the call. First of all, the therapy is excellent. They didn’t push too hard, but they got me moving, and I started feeling my strength coming back. It is much more than that, though. The activities—music, dancing and more—are great, and so are the food and accommodations. Most important, though, are the people. The Boro Park Center team got me back on my feet and back home in less than three weeks! I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to rehab.

I lost consciousness and didn’t even know that I had taken a fall. But the damage had been done: a broken pelvis, damage to my liver and spleen, a hairline fracture of my spine. In a word, I was broken, in pain and practically immobile. The truth is I don’t like skilled nursing facilities, but I had to rehab, and it’s clear that Boro Park Center is the best there is. The rehab team is terrific. They worked with me every day with one goal in mind: getting me stronger and getting me back home. Boro Park Center healed me. It took two months and plenty of work, but they put my broken body back together. I’m home and couldn’t be more grateful!
